Memorial Medical Center-Livingston

Polk County is home to Memorial Medical Center-Livingston, a state-of-the-art facility where patients have access to 24/7 critical care, diagnostic services and much more. The conveniently located hospital is situated just off Highway 59 south. The 66-bed hospital provides more than 60,000 patient services each year, with half of those services being offered in the Level 4 Trauma-designated Emergency Department.

Nearly 60 highly dedicated physicians on the hospital’s medical staff specialize in primary care, internal medicine, pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, orthopedics, general surgery, podiatry, ophthalmology, cardiology, rheumatology and nephrology.

Memorial provides emergency and acute care to thousands of area residents. Recently, the hospital expanded its Imaging Center with the addition of a state-of-the-art nuclear medicine system – the first of its kind in the state – which allows for early detection and staging of cancer, heart disease and other hard-to-diagnose disorders. A 128-slice CT scan, which provides results in just four minutes, was also added. Later in the year, a 4D Ultrasound, Cardiac Echo machine, and surgical C-Arm were also added to complete the Imaging Department's massive upgrades. Memorial also provides fluoroscopy, bone density scanning and digital mammography.  In all, Memorial invested $1.6 million into superior imaging technology. Expanding the hospital’s inpatient diagnostic capabilities enables Memorial Medical Center-Livingston to offer high-quality services and deliver cost-effective care to area patients.

The 24/7 Emergency Department sees more than 22,000 patients each year. With advanced technology and a wide array of services, our highly trained nurses and physicians are prepared to tackle all of life’s emergencies and beyond.

The hospital also is equipped with an established Sleep Disorders Center which offers East Texans an easy and convenient option in diagnosing and treating sleep disorders with the latest in medical technology. From our highly-skilled team of polysomnographer technologists to our hotel-like amenities, the Sleep Disorders Center is the first of its kind in Polk County. Amenities include individually climate controlled suites with plush queen size bedding accented with premium sheets and comforters, wood furnishings, flat screen televisions and personal bathrooms with tiled walk-in showers.

Memorial’s modern patient tower is unique to the Livingston community. Two floors in the tower are home to medical surgical rooms and a new intensive care unit, with room to grow in the future. The 160,000-square-foot tower was designed by local physicians and nurses to be an active part of a patient's healing process.

Additionally, the hospital has a fully integrated women's center that offers obstetrics and gynecology care, labor and delivery and digital mammography.

With the capacity to open 200 additional patient rooms, a highly skilled medical staff, and a talented and knowledgeable group of nurses and technicians, Memorial Medical Center-Livingston is a premiere hospital located in one of the fastest growing retirement communities in Texas.
